manusmriti chapter 1 (different castes)

Manu is considered a law giver in the Hindu tradition
Manu was sitting and the high minded great sages asked him abt the laws of 4 different castes which show that Hinduism has different castes: manusmriti chapter 1 verse 2

There r different class for human being in Hinduism : He, the Lord, also created the class of the gods(manusmriti chapter 1 verse 22)

Different castes made from different parts of the body: But for the sake of the prosperity of the worlds he caused the Brahmana, the Kshatriya, the Vaisya, and the Sudra to proceed from his mouth, his arms, his thighs, and his feet.( Manusmriti chapter 1 verse 31)

Lord : Dividing his own body, the Lord became half male and half female (manusmriti chapter 1 verse 32)

Music in manusmriti: Gandharvas (or musicians of the gods), Apsarases (the dancers of the gods), manusmriti chapter 1 verse 37

God wakes and sleeps (God doing human acts): When that divine one wakes, then this world stirs; when he slumbers tranquilly, then the universe sinks to sleep. Manusmriti chapter 1 verse 52

Then manu ordered one of those sages to recite the laws and he spoke::: Bhrigu( the son of Manu), here, will fully recite to you these Institutes; for that sage learned the whole in its entirety from me……..manusmriti chapter 1 verse 59

Different occupations for different castes: 88. To Brahmanas he assigned teaching and studying (the Veda), sacrificing for their own benefit and for others, giving and accepting (of alms).

89. The Kshatriya he commanded to protect the people, to bestow gifts, to fir sacrifices, to study (the Veda), and to abstain from attaching himself to sensual pleasures;
90. The Vaisya to tend cattle, to bestow gifts, to fir sacrifices, to study (the Veda), to trade, to lend money, and to cultivate land.
91. One occupation only the lord prescribed to the Sudra, to serve meekly even these (other) three castes………..manusmriti chapter 1 verse 88-91

The purest part is the mouth and Brahman is created from the mouth so the Brahman is the lord of the whole creation…..the Self existent (Svayambhu) has declared the purest (part) of him (to be) his mouth.
93. As the Brahmana sprang from (Brahman's) mouth, as he was the first-born, and as he possesses the Veda, he is by right the lord of this whole creation.         Manusmriti chapter 1 verse 92/93

Then the verses continued to praise the brahmanas…chapter 1
